How We Measure

Each soft toy is meticulously crafted, with careful attention to its proportions, structure, and overall character, giving each piece its own distinct identity. Some designs are tall and slender, offering an elegant and upright appearance, while others are compact and rounded, making them especially well-suited for cuddling or easy display in cozy spaces. The balance between firmness and softness is also considered, allowing the toy to maintain its shape while still offering a comforting and gentle feel. These design choices can have a significant impact on how a toy looks and functions, making it important for customers to understand the size and scale of each item. To aid in this, detailed size information is provided, helping customers visualize how the toy will fit into their home, whether it be in the hand, on a shelf, or within a larger collection.

To simplify the process of comparing sizes, dimensions are presented in a standardized format that typically includes height, width, and length. This consistent measurement approach allows for easier comparison of toys with different shapes and proportions. By providing dimensions in a uniform structure, customers can more accurately assess the scale and size of the toys, minimizing confusion and setting realistic expectations.

For accurate sizing, movable or decorative features such as ears, tails, whiskers, or antennae are generally not included in the measurements. These parts can shift or bend, which makes them unreliable for precise sizing. Instead, the focus is placed on the main body of the toy, which provides a stable and practical reference for size. This is particularly helpful for customers considering the toy’s placement, storage, or how it will fit into a display.

For toys designed to sit upright, measurements are taken from the highest point of the head to the bottom of the feet to determine the height. The width is measured at the broadest part of the body when viewed from the back, and the length is determined by measuring from the front to the back along the torso. In certain cases, a sitting height is also provided, which measures the vertical distance from the top of the head to the base when the toy is seated. This excludes the legs and is especially helpful for determining how well the toy will fit on surfaces with limited height, like shelves or desks.

For toys designed to rest horizontally or lie flat, measurements are slightly adjusted to reflect their natural resting form. In these cases, the height is determined by the highest point of the toy when it is lying down, the width is measured across the broadest section, and the length extends from the front of the face to the back of the body. Any limbs or other movable parts are excluded to ensure consistency and accuracy in the sizing process.

In designs with long arms, legs, or flexible features such as tentacles, height is measured from the top of the head to the lowest point where the toy naturally rests, without stretching the material. Width and length continue to be based on the central body structure, and the sitting height provided applies only to the core form, excluding the extended appendages.

These sizing guidelines are designed to provide clarity and reliability for all products. By adhering to a consistent approach, customers can easily understand the proportions of each toy, helping them make more informed decisions when selecting items for display, collection, or use. Accurate sizing ensures that the toys fit comfortably within the intended space and provides a satisfying experience, both in terms of appearance and functionality. Whether the toy is being used for decoration, collection, or as a cuddly companion, knowing the exact dimensions helps guarantee that it will meet the customer’s expectations.
